Welcome one and all. Looking for a good book for friends? Family? Kids? Then come here or bring them yourself. Spread the word!
I read in a whole range of genres from science fiction and fantasy to crafting and children's books so there should be something for everyone here!
The point of this blog is to just put the word out concerning good books. As a bookseller for Barnes & Noble, we get to recommend books to our customers, often ending with happy readers. So I'm just doing here what I do at work; getting the word out on good books for people to enjoy.
New books are posted every Saturday, occasionally with a more in-depth Epinions review. Likewise, since I'm a music junkie, I include a little note about what I currently have playing in my playlist (don't worry, my music tastes range just as widely as my book lust).
From time to time, recommendations are punctuated by what I'm currently reading or what I've just finished, giving you even more insight into what we booksellers read.
So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and pluck out a book you'd like to read, because today begins my ever-lasting love affair with books.
I am an author, I sell books for a living, and I love music like there's no tomorrow. I've experienced much of this country, from forested hills of the East, to the golden plains of the Midwest, the sandy beaches of the Southeast, and the oh-so-majestic mountains of the Rockies. And when all else fails, eat chocolate.
Yes, I realize that this is a textbook, but it's one of those textbooks that you actually want to hang onto after college is over. I think this is one of two textbooks I kept. It's a great little reference book for literature related goodies, should you ever find yourself in that particular moment of need. The link is actually to the eleventh version, although I think there is a twelfth version out now. Mine is actually the ninth version, and I'm not sure how much more they could add each year, but oh well. If you're an English major, a fan of literature, a writer, or you just want a good literature reference book so you can finally get away from the Internet and Google for once, then this really is a great book to choose. (Tip: You can probably find a cheaper and/or older version at used book sites like Half.com or Abebooks.com!)
