Recommended for Book Lovers (and Dog Lovers)
Dog Loves Books by Louise Yates
Honestly, this is one of those books that I can't believe I haven't recommended already. Why? Because it's utterly adorable! All right, I'll try not to get too gooshy, but it is a very cute book. It's a simple story about a dog who loves books so much he opens his own bookstore. However, no one seems to be as interested in books as him, so he resorts to doing what he loves best - reading! His imagination takes over the pages until finally someone pops into the store who loves books just as much as he does. One of my favorite things about this book is the illustrations. The little dog is so expressive with his little ears and face. The colors are bright and fun, and kids will enjoy all the quick adventures dog has as he reads his books. It's one of those books that shows kids just how great it is to read and how magical it can be. And I certainly agree with dog!
